Cultural and Educational Programs

Tutoring – Gave District 7 a donation to save the tutoring programs from being lost due to budget cuts for the Edwardsville High School and both Lincoln and Liberty Middle Schools. We hope to remain involved with these programs.

Needy Student Program – Provides the children of local families with gift certificates from a grocery store and/or a local department store.

Children of the Dream – This is a program showcasing local talent in song, dance and poetry to celebrate Black History month and to honor the vision of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This cultural event is held in the month of February and March.

Harry A. Penelton Golf Handicap Scramble – The golf tournament is held in September at the Oak Brook Golf Course in Edwardsville Illinois. Greens fees, food and prizes are included in the price.
